Job description

This is a seasonal position beginning in June and continuing for 10 weeks. Potential summer earnings are $4,500 (less applicable taxes).

Inclusion counselors provide 1

1 support to a camper with special needs to ensure successful participation in all camp activities. Implements accommodations, support social integration with peers, and adapts activities to promote inclusion. Collaborates closely with staff and families and uses positive behavior support strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a structured camp environment for children with special needs; knowledge and experience working with individuals who have cognitive impairments, autism/ASD spectrum, mental health challenges, developmental delays, and those who require additional accommodations; must be comfortable working on a team and maintaining regular communication with other counselors and senior staff.

Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Preference to individuals pursuing a degree in psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), social work, education, or special education.
