Provide comprehensive primary, acute, and preventive clinical care to a diverse college student population. Collaborate with university departments to manage campus-wide health issues and assist in the operational management of Student Health Services.
Requires an MD or DO degree with Texas licensure and board eligibility/certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. Candidates must have at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience in a primary care specialty and valid DEA/Texas DPS registrations.

The Staff Physician will provide clinical care to Rice University students. Physicians are responsible for the management of patients (students) within Student Health Services (SHS). The staff physician will also provide input as part of a team that manages campus-wide health issues (e.g., public health, disease outbreaks, etc.). The physician must be aware of the special needs of a diverse college population (graduate and undergraduate students). The staff physician will maintain appropriate licensure and CME requirements at the local, state, and national levels. S/he will continuously develop and improve skills and knowledge toward excellence in the field of medicine, as well as assist the director in managing SHS workflow and staffing issues, and perform any other tasks needed to provide excellent healthcare to our students.

This position is benefits-eligible, part-time (.90 FTE at 36 hours per week, year-round), and exclusively on-site, requiring all duties to be performed in person at Rice University. Per Rice policy 440 [https://policy.rice.edu/440], work arrangements may be subject to change.
$175,000 - $180,000 annually, contingent upon qualifications and experience. *Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA [https://knowledgecafe.rice.edu/fair-labor-standards-act-flsa] are not eligible for overtime.
