The instructor is responsible for delivering EMT training and developing curriculum in compliance with Kansas Board of EMS regulations. Duties include managing classroom and lab instruction, evaluating student performance, and maintaining professional industry relationships.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic and hold a current Kansas Certification. A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and the ability to obtain AHA BLS instructor certification are required.

Washburn University Institute of Technology seeks applications for an Emergency Medical Technician Instructor to begin August 1, 2026. The Technical Instructor for EMT is responsible for working with the EMS program coordinator to ensure compliance with the Kansas Board of EMS regulations and Kansas statutes related to EMT training and certification. This is a 10-month, full-time,
eligible day position with occasional evening responsibilities.
