The teacher will create an active learning environment by preparing lesson plans and IEPs while tracking student progress. They are responsible for implementing differentiated instruction and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the school's mission.
Candidates must hold New York State Certifications in ELA and as a Teacher of the Deaf. Proficiency in English and American Sign Language (ASL) is required, along with specific security clearances.
The English Language Arts Teacher, under the supervision of the High School Principal will provide an active learning environment where all students can excel, academically, physically and socially.
• Required clearances include medical clearance, fingerprinted by the NYC Board of Ed, SCR, and SEL clearance
