  • Brentwood, Tennessee - Brentwood, TN 37027Reading and Writing Intensive Interventionists Needed Summer 2026 | Currey Ingram Academy Position Overview The Reading and Writing Intensive is a half-day summer program for struggling readers and writers in rising Grades 1 to 8. Students receive small group, evidence based instruction in all major areas of literacy. Using Structured Literacy approaches based on Orton Gillingham principles and materials provided by the program, Reading and Writing Interventionists deliver daily instruction, monitor student progress, and collaborate with the Reading and Writing Intensive team to support each learner. Key Responsibilities Teach small group reading and writing intervention using a Structured Literacy approach Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the Reading and Writing Intensive team, with some flexibility to adapt to student needs Participate in required training and onboarding on June 11 and/or June 12, 2026 Implement positive behavior supports and reinforcement systems established by the program Assist with arrival, dismissal, and transitions between rotations Qualifications Currently a certified teacher or enrolled in a graduate-level education program Experience working with students with learning differences preferred Interest in Structured Literacy and evidence-based reading and writing intervention Comfort working with students with diverse learning profiles in small groups Commitment to attend training and to work all program days
