Description Make a Difference Before and After the School Bell Rings!

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Lead Teachers for our Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School in Bethel, PA for the 2025–2026 school year.

Job Status

Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Bethel Elementary School in Bethel, PA PAY: $16.00 per hour HOURS: 7:00 - 8:35 am & 3:20 - 6:30 pm

Position Responsibilities The Before and After School Program team is responsible for: Creating and facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic enrichment, art, and group activities Assisting students with homework Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment Serving as a positive role model for children in the program Arriving prepared and remaining on-site until the last child is dismissed Communicating daily with parents and families via the Playground App Following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies Supporting attendance tracking, registration, and staffing as needed

Requirements

Education and Experience Candidate must possess one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience Relevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.
