The Family Engagement BCBA delivers caregiver-focused ABA services to improve client outcomes through active parent involvement and training. They collaborate with clinical teams and families to implement trauma-informed strategies across clinic, home, and telehealth settings.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in ABA or a related field and possess an active BCBA certification. A minimum of two years of experience working with children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders is required.
Description The Family Engagement BCBA is responsible for delivering high-quality, caregiver-focused Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services designed to improve client outcomes through active caregiver involvement. This role prioritizes parent and caregiver training to promote generalization of skills across home and community settings, increase caregiver confidence, and ensure consistency of interventions outside of direct therapy sessions.
In addition to providing individualized caregiver training, the Family Engagement BCBA collaborates closely with families, clinical teams, and other service providers to implement practical, trauma-informed strategies aligned with each client’s treatment goals. This includes supporting treatment planning, caregiver readiness, and ongoing consultations to address barriers to implementation and maximize long-term success.
Services are delivered across a variety of settings – including clinic, home, and telehealth – to ensure accessibility and flexibility for families. The roe may require adaptable scheduling to accommodate caregiver availability, including travel between locations to support service delivery.
Family Engagement BCBA Education and Experience: Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field Minimum of two years of experience working with children or young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders Active BCBA certification in good standing Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders Experience providing parent/caregiver training, in person and via telehealth Experience with diverse family systems and cultural considerations Experience working with interpreter services
