The Early Childhood Teacher II will collaborate with a teaching team to plan, implement, and document an exemplary early childhood educational program. Responsibilities include engaging in pedagogical documentation, supervising children, and maintaining communication with families.
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Early Childhood or related fields with two years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of related experience. Teaching experience in a university laboratory school or NAEYC accredited program is preferred.
Master's degree in Early Childhood or Pre-school Education and two years of experience in teaching pre-school children or Bachelor's degree in Early Child hood, Pre-school Education or Elementary Education with at least 6 credits in Early Childhood or Pre-school Education and four years of related experience. Teaching experience in a university laboratory school and/or NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited program. Skills and experience that can contribute to achieving the center's diversity mission. Experience working as a cooperating teacher with college interns or student teachers. Strong background in and knowledge of social-constructivist education. NH state teacher certification (or other acceptable state certification) in Pre-K and/or Kindergarten. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
