Provide full-time hospitalist coverage at an academic medical center, including patient care and the supervision of medical residents. Responsibilities include formulating treatment plans, writing prescriptions, and participating in quality assurance programs.
Candidates must hold a Medical Doctorate degree and a physician license for the state of Kentucky. ACLS/BLS certification is required, and experience with Epic EMR is preferred.

Hospitalist opportunity w/ UofL Health-UofL Hospital: The University of Louisville Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking a motivated BC/BE full-time Hospitalist. The duties will include providing hospital coverage 7/7, 26 weeks per year, at an academic medical center. The candidate will be assigned internal medicine specialty care for our patients and may be supervising and training medical residents and working directly with subspecialty providers daily. May be expected to participate in quality assurance programs administered by the hospital and be expected to attend divisional and departmental meetings and presentations as a member of the Department of Medicine faculty. Essential Functions: Assesses the physical status of clients through interview, health history and physical examination and both inpatient and outpatient services. Formulates treatment plans for health problems and follow-ups. Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests and routine diagnostic and follow-up studies and therapeutic measures. Evaluates the quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement. Shares clinical expertise with personnel. Documents and reports care in an accurate and timely manner.
