Opening Teacher – Early Childhood Classrooms

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking a dependable and caring Part-Time Opening Teacher to support classrooms during morning arrival routines and early classroom activities. This role helps create a calm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, engaged, and ready to begin their day.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys early schedules and working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a collaborative childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support morning classroom opening routines and child arrivals Assist with daily classroom activities and learning experiences Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Support children during breakfast, transitions, and morning routines Provide classroom coverage across age groups as needed Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications

High school diploma required Prior childcare experience preferred Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented approach Comfortable supporting multiple age groups Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
