The Home Visitor provides strength-based, family-centered services and assessments to expectant parents and families with young children. They facilitate parent support groups, advocate for community resource access, and monitor parent-child interactions to ensure child safety and well-being.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Social Work or Child Development (Bachelor's preferred) and at least one year of experience with children under five. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and the ability to obtain program certification within 90 days are required.

The Early Start Home Visitor meets with expectant parents and families with young children in Stephenson and Winnebago County, providing strength-based, family-centered services, comprehensive assessments, and parent support groups and education. As a Home Visitor, you will develop safe and trusting relationships with expectant and new parents, helping them to expand their support networks and maximize access to needed services while providing support and expertise as they successfully navigate the parenting journey. The Home Visitor will also complete home visits with expectant parents, advocate for clients' access to community resources, provide strength-based and family-centered parent education and assess for safety.
