The Teacher-In-Training supports candidates in completing their Child Development Associate (CDA) or New Mexico Child Development Certificate requirements. This role involves working closely with experienced teachers to create a nurturing learning environment for children.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and relevant coursework towards a CDA or NM CDC. Previous experience in early childhood education and bilingual skills are preferred.

This position supports candidates who have completed required coursework and training hours applicable to Child Development Associate (CDA) completion or have completed four courses required for the New Mexico Child Development Certificate (NM CDC) and require application or portfolio submission support. This position works closely with the Teacher II or Center Supervisor to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment in order to expand the child's ability to learn and grow. Works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children. Position may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers as deemed necessary for program operations.
