Anoka Technical College is seeking a full-time instructor to join our Emergency Medical Services and Paramedic programs. This position instructs students in a range of subjects and courses across multiple levels and learning styles in the assigned emergency medical services curriculum. This includes developing and revising curriculum to maintain relevancy in the field and to assess student competencies as described in the curriculum. Another key component of the role requires staying current with technical knowledge in the field through participation in professional development activities and engagement with professional organizations and an advisory committee, as well as service to the department, college, and community through a variety of activities. Additional duties to include but are not limited to: Deliver Emergency Medical Services instruction in day and alternate schedule formats across multiple levels and learning styles. Maintain consistent communication with students through office hours, email, and telephone. Participate in departmental maintenance, program and curricular meetings, accreditation, and information sessions. Develop curriculum/lesson plans to maintain relevancy with the status of the field and accrediting body. Support the mission, vision, and core values of Anoka Technical College. Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience after a job offer has been accepted and currently range from $44,144 - $99,016. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs. **Please note, Initial Step placement is established by the MSCF contract in which sets salary limitations to what a new Faculty member is able to begin at. Education Requirement Associate's degree. Occupational Experience Requirement Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre-hospital, emergency, or critical care settings. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
