As a member of the staff for a new and growing classical charter school, the health tech will have a strong background in best practices for school health services, including basic first aid, administering medications, performing medical procedures as delegated by the school's Registered Nurse, communicating with family members of sick or injured students, calling emergency personnel as necessary, and documenting services performed. We are looking for someone with high standards of excellence, a professional demeanor, and a can-do attitude to join our team and help us build for the future. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven team player with the capacity to manage multiple projects and thrive in a dynamic environment. This is an onsite position based in our school.

Functions: Provide first aid to injured students Administer medication and perform medical procedures under the guidance of the school nurse Evaluate ill or injured students and notify parents/guardians as needed Provide care in emergency situations and call parents/guardians and emergency personnel as needed Record health concerns, immunizations, daily health office visits in the school's student information system Maintain current health files for students Communicate student health needs with teachers and relevant personnel Coordinate school vision and hearing screenings with support from school nurse Provide forms and support for health-related needs on school field trips Maintain inventory for health office supplies Maintain regular, punctual attendance Maintain professional appearance and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures Complete all required training and provide documentation as well as official college transcripts within 90 days of hire date Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance by adhering to assigned work hours, reporting on time, and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness to ensure minimal disruption to students, colleagues, and school operations Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English to effectively perform their job responsibilities and communicate in the workplace
