Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans to support the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth of Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students. Supervise all daily classroom and outdoor activities while collaborating with staff to maintain a nurturing and safe learning environment.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or an Associate's degree combined with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood best practices and the ability to manage a dynamic classroom.
Holy Family University is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth founded in 1954. The University is a private institution in the Catholic tradition with campus locations in Philadelphia and Newtown PA. The main campus is nestled in the heart of a historic residential neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia that is vibrant and just minutes from the excitement of Center City. Alpha House, an early childhood center located on the campus of Holy Family University, is seeking passionate, nurturing, and skilled early childhood educators for PreK4 and Kindergarten classrooms. The start date is August 2026.
Teachers are responsible for fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of each child. As part of a Catholic educational community and lab-school model in partnership with Holy Family University’s School of Education, educators are expected to integrate faith, best instructional practices, and innovative early childhood methodologies into daily instruction.
