The instructor is responsible for teaching first-year writing courses and maintaining academic excellence in the classroom. Key duties include providing timely feedback to students and utilizing Canvas and CRM software for engagement and retention.
Candidates must hold a master's or doctoral degree in English, Journalism, or Composition and Rhetoric. Practical experience teaching writing at the secondary or university level is required.

The University is a private institution in the Catholic tradition with campus locations in Philadelphia and Newtown PA. The main campus is nestled in the heart of a historic residential neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia that is vibrant and just minutes from the excitement of Center City. The successful applicant must hold an earned academic degree (doctoral or master’s level) in the discipline or a related field appropriate for the contracted teaching responsibilities.
Official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions and three letters of recommendation will be required upon hire.
