Provide preventive and rehabilitative health care for gymnastics student-athletes, including injury assessment and treatment. Collaborate with medical staff and coaches to optimize athlete health, performance, and recovery outcomes.
Requires a degree in Athletic Training or Exercise Science and certification by the National Trainers’ Association Board. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Alabama.

The individual in this position will provide preventive and rehabilitative health care for student‑athletes.
Degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science (with an emphasis in athletic training), or related which leads to athletic training certification
Level I Bachelor’s degree Level II Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree
Level III Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience OR Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience Senior Athletic Trainer Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of experience OR Master’s degree plus 8 years of experience Licenses & Certifications: Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association Active Release Technique Certification Graston Technique Certification Myofascial Release Certification Knieso Taping Certification by Knieso Taping Association International
Scope of Experience: Experience in preventing, assessing and treating athletic injuries
Must be certified by the National Trainers’ Association Board and eligible to be licensed in the State of Alabama by the Alabama Board of Athletic Training for all levels
