We collaborate with school districts to ensure students have access to the medical care they need to thrive academically and socially. Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support students' healthcare needs in a school setting. The LVN will work closely with school personnel, healthcare providers, and families to ensure the safety and well-being of students requiring medical care during school hours

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Student
  • Health
  • Support: Diabetes monitoring, including blood sugar testing and insulin administration. Catheterization, gastrostomy tube feeding, oral suctioning, and other specialized procedures as needed. Administering prescribed medications and providing ventilator-dependent care. Screen students for health conditions (e.g., lice, fever, vomiting) and communicable diseases requiring exclusion from school. Assist with general health office management, including documentation and immunization record maintenance. Clean medical equipment and maintain the health office in an orderly manner.

Collaboration and Communication

Follow the instructions of the school administration and as required by law. Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain discipline and encourage positive behavior in the classroom and during school activities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure health and safety policies are understood and followed.

Supervision and Assistance

Supervise students during health-related activities and ensure their medical needs are met for field trips. Assist students with physical needs, including the use of wheelchairs, crutches, or other mobility aids. Provide toileting assistance and diapering for students as required.

School Culture and Safety

  • Actively contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment by addressing student health needs promptly and professionally. Assist with first aid and minor nursing duties as required.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to document medical care accurately. Must maintain active Professional Liability Insurance Must pass a background check and TB test Reliable transportation and ability to commute to assigned school sites
