Job description

Overview

  • The Perinatal Education Specialist is responsible for instructing the pregnant family about the perinatal period.
  • This instruction is given primarily in Childbirth Education Classes.
  • In addition, the Perinatal Education Specialist conducts infant care classes and inpatient antepartum education on The Women's Pavilion and Birthplace Unit and participates in other department related efforts and events.
  • The education specialist may also conduct tours of the Women's Pavilion at each campus and facilitate support groups.
