Dental Hygiene Clinical Instructor - Adjunct

Position Summary

The responsibilities of the successful candidate for the Dental Hygiene Faculty include clinical teaching.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

  • laboratory and clinical teaching
  • grading and evaluation
  • Participate in and support clinic or pre-clinic assignments
  • Student mentoring and advising
  • Accept and participate in other duties as assigned
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Skills/Competencies/Qualifications

Education

  • Must be a dental hygienist with a minimum of an associate degree; a baccalaureate degree preferred
  • Professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill the program goals
  • Documented background in the assigned subject

Professional

  • Must have a current Maryland-issued Dental Hygiene or Dental License, or the ability to obtain one
  • Must have current CPR certification/health care provider
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • 3 years of full-time clinical experience
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Documentation of background in educational methodology
