- Overview: On Your Mark Employment Business Services Department provides support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) to find and excel in employment in the community. The role of the Job Coach is to directly support the individuals and department with their caseloads towards successful vocational experiences in the community.
- Responsibilities include: Attend weekly update meeting with immediate supervisor Encourage individuals to learn new skills to grow in their jobs Encourage individuals to develop and maintain positive work habits, attitudes, and behaviors. Teach individuals to perform their job assignments with proficiency. Develop long-term relationships with supervisors and managers at individuals’ places of employment Work with individuals and employer to resolve any problems that arise during work hours. Work with employers to guarantee their satisfaction with OYM Services. Write detailed case notes and submit documentation of all services provided for the month in a timely manner, for billing purposes. Maintains Supportive Employment Plans for all participants through ongoing support and by attending the Life Plan meetings. Positively represents On Your Mark at internal, external committees, meetings and individuals places of employment. Explore new employment opportunities for individuals by conducting job development on and off-site. Completes timely service documentation as required by OPWDD and On Your Mark. Effectively acts as liaison with potential employers and markets the services of the Employment Services Department. Meets standards of excellence established by OPWDD and its regulatory standards of care. Attend all staff training as required and assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and the Executive Team. Intervene and report any incidents or suspected incidents of abuse and/or neglect IMMEDIATELY to a supervisor. Maintain all required OPWDD and On Your Mark certifications. Communicate positively and clearly with supervisors, coworkers, individuals, advocates, and community members.

- Reports to:Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a recognized field preferred and at least 1-year experience in the field of (I/DD). At least 1-year experience in Employment Services (Access-VR, Supported Employment, etc.) Good computer skills including the ability to learn new software applications and teach staff new software applications. Attention to detail and accuracy. Requires multitasking and customer service skills. Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with all, team-focused, confident, and professional. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and writing skills. Valid driver's license. Position involves a great deal of field work. Must have own car and be willing to occasionally transport program participants (mileage reimbursement provided). Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments. Ability to work independently or with team members and requires minimal supervision. Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism. Willing and able to work flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary and as assigned. Available on call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
