Make a difference in the lives of youth. Methodist Home for Children is seeking a compassionate Day Treatment Paraprofessional to support youth with mental health and developmental challenges. This role is ideal for individuals who want meaningful, hands-on work helping youth build skills, regulate behavior, and succeed in structured educational and vocational settings.

Position Summary

The Day Treatment Paraprofessional provides direct support and behavioral interventions under the supervision of professional staff. This position helps implement individualized treatment plans, teaches life and social skills, supports community inclusion, and ensures a safe, structured environment for youth.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field with 1 year of experience or
  • High school diploma with 3 years of experience working with the client population
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be insurable
  • Ability to complete required trainings (CPR, First Aid, restraint, medication administration)
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments and manage challenging behaviors
  • Physical & work requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and participate in physical activities
  • Provide continuous supervision of youth
  • Pass drug screening, physical exam, and TB test
