  • Louis.Job Summary Holy Cross Academy is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and faith-centered Part-Time School Nurse to support the health and well-being of students in grades PreK–8.
  • The ideal candidate will foster a safe and caring environment, promote healthy habits, and integrate Catholic values through service and care for the whole child.
  • This individual will play a vital role in supporting students’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness to ensure a positive learning experience.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic healthcare services to students, including first aid, illness assessment, and emergency response.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
  • Monitor and manage student health conditions such as allergies, asthma, diabetes, and other chronic illnesses.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns and updates.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student health needs and accommodations.
  • Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies.
  • Promote health education and wellness practices within the school community.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked health office.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development as appropriate.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development through compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state-specific).
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health preferred.
  • Knowledge of child health practices, emergency procedures, and medication administration.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and values.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred (depending on school requirements).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
