Job description

Associate Child Development Teacher at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 40hour a week, Day shifts.

Under direct supervision, this role guides classroom activities and implements academic curriculum in accordance with licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards. Required Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Required Coursework/Training 12 semester units of course work in Early Childhood Education including all CORE classes plus Infant and Toddler Development units. And

  • Upon hire: Candidates with less than 2 years experience are required to have a Child Development Associate (CDA), National Early Childhood credential, or Minimum of 6 college credits in early childhood education (Facility Managed)
  • 2 years Paid or unpaid experience in an early childhood program/setting is required for candidates without a Child Development Associate (CDA), or national early childhood certification credentials. Participation in a degree seeking program or internship where the major is in Childhood Education or relevant field shall be credited as experience. Associate’s degree level program candidates shall be credited 1 year experience and Bachelor’s degree level program candidates shall be credited 2 years experience.
