$37-$45/hr. | Part-Time | Austin, TX | In-Person | School Counselor

About the Role

Support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success through direct counseling services, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and participation in the special education process. This role combines student-centered counseling with consultation, progress monitoring, and documentation responsibilities in a supportive, mission-driven school environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct counseling services to students identified as needing support
  • Support students with social-emotional learning, coping skills, behavioral regulation, and school success
  • Consult and collaborate with school teams, teachers, families, and related service providers to support student needs
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings
  • Write measurable, data-driven counseling goals aligned with student needs
  • Progress monitor student outcomes and maintain accurate service documentation
  • Complete professional progress reports and required compliance paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards
  • Complete non-direct services, documentation, and paperwork remotely from home

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • Valid and current School Counselor Certification required
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for student wellness, social-emotional development, and inclusive education

Preferred

  • Previous school-based counseling experience preferred
  • Experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or academic needs
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
