Instruct a variety of fitness classes for students, staff, and community members while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include choreographing routines, managing equipment, and enforcing facility policies.
Requires a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Preferred candidates have a degree in Exercise Science or a recognized group exercise certification with 1-2 years of experience.
Group Exercise Instructors are an important part of the Fitness and Wellness department here at Drexel's Recreation Center. Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of fitness classes in a variety of levels to Drexel students, staff, and community members. Some class examples may include: BODYPUMP, Zumba, Yoga, Cycle, Pilates, and more. They are responsible for providing a safe, fun and inclusive environment for all members.
This is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
