Job summary
Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to serve as a Middle School Math and Science as well as Homeroom teacher. The teacher will foster academic excellence, critical thinking, and a love of learning while supporting the spiritual, social, and emotional development of students within a Catholic school environment.
- Key responsibilities
- Serve as the homeroom teacher for a 6th grade class, building a positive, structured, and supportive classroom community.
- Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in Math and Science.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote problem-solving, inquiry, and hands-on learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into instruction.
- Collaborate with middle school team members and staff to ensure curriculum alignment and student success.
- Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and expectations.
- Support and participate in school Masses, prayer, and Catholic identity initiatives.
- Foster responsibility, organization, and independence in middle school students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (middle school or subject-area certification preferred).
- Strong background in Math and/or Science instruction.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
