The Goddard School in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team! At our preschool, we put our teachers first—because they put our children first. Your Role as an Infant Teacher
- Responsive Care & Development
- Provide attentive, nurturing care to infants, meeting their individual needs
- Foster secure attachments through consistent and responsive interactions
- Support developmental milestones through sensory-rich, age-appropriate activities
- Maintain detailed daily records of feeding, sleeping, and developmental progress
- Safe & Engaging Environment
- Create a calm, clean, and stimulating classroom designed for infants
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met
- Supervise infants closely during all activities, including tummy time, feeding, and rest
- Family Communication
- Build trusting relationships with families through open, daily communication
- Share updates on each child’s day, progress, and developmental achievements
- Partner with parents to support each child’s unique routine and needs
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with co-teachers and leadership to maintain a supportive classroom
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in early childhood education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with families and team members
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and actively engage in infant care routines
