Description General Function
Each Activity Specialist, Program Specialist, or Teacher is responsible for the effective implementation of the ULBGC – Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC programs and activities in the areas of academic achievement and education, sports and physical activities, recreation, mentoring, social emotional learning and technology. In addition, he/she shall assist the Program Coordinator in the execution of other activities and programs as needed.
Specific Responsibilities
Assist the Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and implement programs and activities. Implement programs and activities as indicated in the activity curriculum. Support and supervise program participants. Promote and stimulate interest and participation of participants. Serve as an assistant to the Program Coordinator in general supervision. Maintain records of program participants. Maintain equipment and supplies. Assist in planning and implementation of special events. Provide input for program implementation and effectiveness Participate in periodic meetings as required by Program Coordinator. Provide mentorship and guidance to participants. To adhere to all physical and emotional safety guidelines as recommended by CPS, CDC, BGCA and the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs.
