Job summary
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Old Monroe is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Full-Time 3rd Grade Teacher to join the school faculty. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a positive, faith-centered classroom environment, and supporting students' academic, social, and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional skills, a love for working with children, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education. This candidate would collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families.
Job responsibilities
· Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
· Create a structured, supportive, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
· Integrate faith formation into daily instruction and classroom life.
· Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely, constructive feedback.
· Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of 3rd grade learners.
· Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
· Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, grades, and student documentation.
· Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
· Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to support student success and spiritual formation.
· Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and schoolwide events.
· Model Catholic values and contribute positively to the spiritual life of the school community.
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.
· Valid Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
· Experience teaching elementary students or working in a school setting.
· Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to create engaging lessons that support academic and faith development.
· Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
· Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training.
