Behavior Technicians implement individualized behavior intervention plans one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA, utilizing evidence-based techniques to teach skills and reduce interfering behaviors. This role requires significant physical engagement, including standing, walking, and potentially carrying objects or children up to 50 pounds.
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, possess patience and compassion, and be able to work well in a team, while also meeting physical demands such as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Minimum requirements include being 18+, having a high school diploma or GED, and obtaining necessary certifications like CPR, First Aid, and the Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.
