The Clinical Instructor supervises CNA students during clinical rotations and provides hands-on skills instruction and evaluation. They ensure patient safety and professional conduct while documenting student progress according to CDPH requirements.
Candidates must hold a current California LVN or RN license with at least two years of nursing experience, including one year with elderly or chronically ill patients. A DSD Certificate or willingness to obtain one and meeting CDPH requirements are also required.

Los Angeles Skills Academy (LASA) is hiring a full-time CNA Clinical Instructor (LVN or RN) in Santa Barbara, California.
This is a clinical-only CNA Instructor position. No classroom teaching or lectures required. The CNA Clinical Instructor will supervise CNA students in approved clinical sites and provide hands-on skills instruction, evaluation, and mentoring.
Job Type: Full-Time variable
Clinical Instruction Only: On-site in Santa Barbara, CA
Key Responsibilities (Clinical Instructor – CNA Program)
Supervise CNA students during clinical rotations
Provide hands-on CNA skills instruction in a clinical setting
Demonstrate infection control, patient care, and CNA skills
Evaluate CNA student performance per CDPH clinical requirements
Ensure patient safety and professional conduct
Complete clinical evaluations and documentation
Work closely with program leadership regarding student progress
Required Qualifications: Current LVN or RN license (California)
Minimum 2 years nursing experience
At least 1 year experience with elderly or chronically ill patients
(Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Hospital, Hospice, or Assisted Living)
DSD Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Meets California Department of Public Health (CDPH) requirements for CNA Clinical Instructors
