The instructor will lead youth cheer and tumbling activities, focusing on skill development and teamwork through weekly lesson plans. They are also responsible for organizing monthly scrimmages and ensuring a safe, positive environment for all participants.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and experience working with children and knowledge of the relevant sports. CPR for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certifications must be completed within 30 days of hire.
The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for a youth cheer and tumbling instructor with a background in dance preferred. You will supervise groups of children and teach them simple sports skills. Preferred ability to also lead kids dance classes like hip hop as well. This is a part-time in-person position located at the Durango Hills YMCA. This position typically requires 3 - 6 hours per week. Our cheerleaders perform monthly at the Y's basketball scrimmages, as well as other Y events throughout the year!
