• Degree: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Physical Education, Recreation Management, Exercise Science & Wellness, Student Affairs, or related field. Must have the required degree by the start date.

Experience

• One-year professional work experience or the equivalent (preferably in teaching, physical education and/or coaching).
• Duties/Expectations: Candidates may teach any 100-level SWELL Course as assigned by the SWELL Course Coordinator.
• Subjects needed: Beginning and Intermediate Bowling, Diving, Functional Fitness, Beginning Golf, Beginning Racquetball, Beginning Soccer, Beginning and Intermediate Swimming, and Beginning and Intermediate Volleyball. Must have current First Aid, CPR & AED certifications. Teach scheduled classes (including beginning and ending on time, tracking attendance and participation, and entering grades). Instruct students in assigned course topics (explain proper techniques, demonstrate activities, and meet course learning outcomes). Prepare appropriate materials, equipment, and music, as needed for each class. Assist students, answer questions, and maintain a positive exercise experience. Keep the supervisor informed of student and facility/equipment needs. Ensure safety standards are met and department/university policies are adhered to.
