Teach assigned English composition courses according to the Academic Catalog and departmental learning outcomes. Adhere to college policies and contract requirements regarding grading, syllabi, and the use of the Learning Management System.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in English, Writing, or Literature with experience teaching at the college level. Proficiency in using technology for instruction and assessment is required.
POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - English: English Department; Liberal Arts Division; Haverhill campus, Haverhill (100 Elliott Street) or Lawrence campuses (45 Franklin Street); MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position SUMMARY: We are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various English composition courses on an as-needed basis for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Semesters. Successful applicants would be assigned to teach 3-credit courses in English Composition I or English Composition II. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses. Seeking instructors for primarily day and evening face-to-face classes, which could include Early College classes. Future possibility of online or hybrid instruction exists and would require successful completion of mandatory training. Adjunct faculty will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success. A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog.
