Job Description
Primary Duties Operations and Technical Support Prepares skills lab environments, including supplies, equipment, and technology Prepares and operates simulation technologies including high fidelity mannequins, task trainers, standardized patients, audiovisual systems, and related software Provides real-time support, including troubleshooting technical issues, during live simulation and skills lab sessions to facilitate student learning Supports audio and video recording, live-streaming, and playback for instructional and debriefing purposes Provides operational guidance to users in simulation and lab spaces Assists with faculty orientation to lab spaces Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on lab equipment Scheduling & Communication Schedules simulation and skills lab activities Tracks utilization of lab rooms, equipment, and supplies Conducts routine inventory of equipment and supplies Proactively communicates with faculty regarding planned educational activities Notifies the Simulation Lab Coordinator of needed purchases or repairs Upholds learner safety, confidentiality, and professional standards at all times Ancillary Duties Attends meetings, as scheduled Participates in University events Serves on committees within the SON and University
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Licensure or certification in nursing or related allied health profession Strong communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing Familiarity with medical terminology, equipment, and supplies Perform extensive walking, lifting weighted materials (up to 50 lbs.) Experience in academic operations, scheduling, or project coordination Experience operating audiovisual systems
