Job description

Stark College & Seminary invites applications for an adjunct faculty member in Counseling, with an immediate teaching need for Counseling Children and Adolescents in Fall 2026.
The course may be taught remotely through live video instruction.
While the initial appointment is for this course, qualified candidates may be considered for future adjunct teaching opportunities in counseling, pastoral care, ministry, psychology, and related fields.
The ideal candidate will have graduate-level training in counseling or a related field, experience working with children and adolescents, and a strong commitment to integrating biblical and Christian principles within the counseling process.
Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
The course, Counseling Children and Adolescents, provides an overview of the emotional, behavioral, developmental, relational, and spiritual needs of children and adolescents while equipping students with foundational counseling approaches from a Christian perspective.
Master’s degree required (doctorate preferred) in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field Experience in counseling children and adolescents Commitment to Christian higher education and biblical integration Excellent verbal and written communication; Dedicated to operational excellence and attentive to details; Computer literacy—MS Office, Apple OS, SiS Database, and Google applications Compensation Adjunct compensation is $550 per credit hour, or $600 per credit hour for instructors with an earned doctorate.
For a three-credit course, total compensation is $1,650, or $1,800 with an earned doctorate.
