- This position is based in the following office location: Manchester, NH The opportunity Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is looking for an Part-time Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
- SNHU is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northeast 10 Conference.
- You will report to and assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach in administration and coaching of our intercollegiate athletic program.
- This position is located onsite in Manchester, NH.
- What you'll do: Organization and implementation of the assessment, identification and recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
- Use and implement recruiting planning including correspondence with high school and AAU prospects and coaches Work with our Admissions and Financial Aid departments in recruitment of student-athletes Maintain schedule for the entire academic year to include, individual meetings, individual workouts, pre-season workouts, post-season workouts, in-season and off-season training/conditioning programs, and summer program workouts Support academic development and graduation of student-athletes.
- Be a role model for all student-athletes involved in the program Scouting of opponents and game and practice planning using computer software: synergy, scout ware and developing reports Establish and maintain relationship with our University, alumni, high school coaches, media, and the local community through social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) Guide communication between head coach and the people of Manchester and neighboring towns, by conducting clinics for the community, active involvement in charitable organizations and the local school community Leverage systems related to recruiting, scouting, and social media Other responsibilities assigned by the head coach and Director of Athletics relative to the program and department/university Drive University vans to games and practices when needed.
- Will need to pass MVR check and University van certification video course What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree 1+ years of coaching experience or collegiate playing experience with demonstrated knowledge and strategies of the game of basketball Knowledge, observance, and commitment to all rules and regulations of the College, NE1O, and NCA Valid driver’s license and the ability to transport student athletes The position, governed by the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Southern New Hampshire University, entails total responsibility for the functioning of the program.
- This includes supervision and organization of all practice sessions, coaching of all matches, supervision of assistant coaches, recruitment of quality student-athletes and current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- You must successfully pass the NCAA Certification exam and develop a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Participation in the Northeast-10 Conference call or meeting is also required.
- Per NCAA rule, a coach who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.
- Attendance is expected at NCAA Compliance meetings and preferred at Athletic Department meetings.

- Compensation The hourly pay range for this position is $14.43 - $23.10.
- Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
- We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $15.95 - $21.58.
