Position Overview

As a Student Nurse Intern, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, contributing to excellent patient care and personal growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to transition into professional nursing practice in a supportive environment, with responsibilities and opportunities evolving before NCLEX licensure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 1. Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). 2. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure personal care and comfort. 3. Maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients. 4. Perform additional skills upon evaluation and approval through the Student Nurse Intern program, which includes:
  • NG Removal
  • Changing NG Cannisters
  • IV Removal
  • Emptying of Hemovac and JP drains

Qualifications

Required

  • Enrolled or accepted into an accredited nursing program. Must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance, listing the program enrolled in with a formal letter from the school’s registrar.
  • Basic Life Support certifications are required within 30 days of hire. (provided through the Student Nursing Program).
