  • Overview A family in the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, developmentally focused full-time Nanny to care for their 19-month-old son.
  • The family is looking for a long-term fit and requests a minimum one-year commitment from candidates.

Responsibilities

Providing attentive, developmentally focused care for one toddler Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, exploration, and growth Supporting developmental milestones through play and structured activities Taking the child outdoors daily for walks, playground visits, classes, and active play Facilitating social opportunities and coordinating playdates when appropriate Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child Child's laundry and maintaining organization of child-related spaces Maintaining nursery and play areas, including diaper pail and diaper trash management Assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups once school begins Traveling with the family as needed

Qualifications

Active, energetic, and comfortable keeping up with a busy toddler Warm, engaging personality with excellent communication skills Ability to build a strong relationship with both the child and parents Well-connected within the nanny community and comfortable facilitating playdates and social opportunities Spanish or French language skills are a plus, but not required Can swim

Requirements

Formal education in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field strongly preferred Significant professional nanny experience with toddlers Strong understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate learning Authorized to work in the United States and willing to be paid on payroll Prior experience traveling with families preferred Comfortable with periodic domestic travel Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to drive Salary and Benefits $40–$50/hour DOE Standard benefits to be discussed Travel expenses covered while accompanying the family
