About Us

High Point provides a range of community-based services including Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). CBHI services provide individualized, intensive therapy and support to youth and their families. CBHI connects families struggling with mental health and substance use to community resources, enabling them to work towards self-sufficiency.

• High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness.
• High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services.
• Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness.

Therapeutic Mentors provide therapeutic skill-building support to children and adolescents ages 3-20, and include supporting, coaching, role-playing, and modeling. Meetings occur in environments that are most comfortable for the youth and practical for achieving identified goals.

TT&S staff work in a more collaborative role with the In-Home Therapist (IHT) to provide intensive services that are geared to stabilize families in crisis and reduce out of home placements.

• Therapeutic Mentor Responsibilities
• Have a passion for supporting youth with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties
• Compliance with and working knowledge of all applicable HPTC policies and program procedures including but not limited to those relating to ethics/boundaries, confidentiality, and duties of role
• Ability to perform as a role model, teaching and supporting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
• Open to the respect of culture and diversity
• Excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail
• Ability to complete documentation requirements in a timely manner with the use of an electronic health record
• Investigate and develop community contacts and cooperative networks with other community groups and agencies

• Therapeutic Mentor Qualifications
• 21 years of age or older
• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and one year of related experience working with youth

Any compensation range provided is an estimate based on current market data. The actual offer may fall above or below this range, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and geographic location.
