Phillips Academy seeks a Head Coach for the JV1 Soccer program for Fall 2026.

Head Coach responsibilities include
- Plans and executes team practices withJV1assistant coach support.
- Coaches in all regular season gamesas scheduledand as possible,supportsvarsity tryouts atstartoffallseason,beginningAugust 29through2ndweekinNovember. Commitment isapproximately 20-25hours per week (Monday –
- Saturday) with practices occurring weekdays from 3:15-5p.mas well as games typically on Wednesday andSaturday afternoons.
- Collaborates withheadvarsitysoccercoach on player development, gamestrategiesand practice plans whenappropriate.
- Stays current in and expands knowledge of coaching techniques.
- Models and ensures diversity and cultural competency (respect, inclusiveness, reflecting, valuing, and welcoming cultural differences) in all position responsibilities regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, social class, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, age, language, or origin.
The strongest applicants will have the following qualifications
- Ability to positively motivate, inspire and be role model to high school students, on and off field.
- Atleast 2 years’ experience coaching inclub,high school or college setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Soccer playing experience at high school, college or higher level.
- Ability and willingness to manage a Monday-Saturday practice/game schedule which includes travel to away opponents.
