Description Developmental Interventionist Starpoint Early Intervention Program Location: Cañon City, CO (and surrounding service areas) Employment Type: Full-Time Make a Difference During a Child's Most Important Years Starpoint is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and family-centered Developmental Interventionist to join our Early Intervention (EI) team. This position provides in-home and community-based services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental delays and disabilities, while partnering with families to support growth and learning through everyday routines and activities. As a Developmental Interventionist, you will play a critical role in helping children reach developmental milestones and empowering families through coaching, education, and collaborative support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide developmental intervention services to children and families in accordance with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Conduct developmental assessments and multidisciplinary evaluations using approved assessment tools. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with families, caregivers, school districts, and community partners. Support families through a coaching model that promotes child development within daily routines. Participate in IFSP meetings, transition planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, case notes, attendance records, and reports. Coordinate services and referrals to ensure children and families receive appropriate supports. Manage an independent schedule to complete home visits and community-based services. Comply with Colorado Early Intervention policies, procedures, and state requirements. Participate in ongoing professional development and required trainings. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Early Intervention.

Required Education Master's degree in: Early Childhood Education Child Development Early Childhood Special Education Special Education Or a closely related field Additional Requirements Valid Colorado driver's license. Reliable transportation and proof of insurance. Successful completion of background screening. Ability to travel throughout Starpoint's service area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of typical and atypical child development. Knowledge of family-centered and coaching-based intervention practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to cultural responsiveness, family strengths, and inclusion. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and FERPA requirements. Passion for supporting young children and families.
