Job description
Fully licensed CCC-SLP ONLY
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Telehealth Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver exceptional therapy services to children via virtual platforms. As a member of our telehealth team, you will have the opportunity to work with children of diverse age groups, providing speech therapy to help them develop essential skills for daily life. You will also work to improve speech and language skills, including articulation, comprehension, and communication abilities, while supporting cognitive, sensory, and emotional development in children.
Pay: $30/30 minute session and $80 Evaluations for Monolingual Therapists
$40/30 minute session and $90 Evaluation for Bilingual therapists
$5 more for therapy provided on Saturday or Sunday
Hours: Flexible based on patient need but biggest need is afternoon/evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Assessments: Conduct comprehensive telehealth evaluations and assessments to determine the needs of children and create individualized therapy plans.
- Treatment Planning: Develop customized treatment plans based on the assessment results, family goals, and input from other professionals.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions through telehealth platforms to help children achieve functional independence in areas.
- Family Support: Provide coaching and support to families, caregivers, and teachers on how to reinforce therapeutic goals at home and in the community.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and document client progress through virtual visits, adjust therapy plans as needed, and provide updates to families and referring physicians.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and pediatricians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Education: Educate families and children on adaptive tools, strategies, and techniques to improve day-to-day functioning.
- Technology Management: Use telehealth software and platforms efficiently to deliver services and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active state licensure as an Speech Language Pathologist in the state where the services are being provided.
- Experience: Prior experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably with telehealth delivery, is highly preferred.
- We are NOT able to hire any Speech Pathologist who live in California or Massachusetts
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques.
- Comfort and proficiency in using telehealth technology and platforms.
- Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Empathy and a patient approach when working with children and their families.
