- Class times may be evenings and/or weekends.
- Duties may include the following: Teaching graduate students within a defined field of expertise; Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi meet Program and School standards; Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments; Assessing student learning outcomes and aiding student success; Submitting grades in a timely manner Part-time faculty at The New School bargain collectively through Academics Come Together, ACT-UAW, Local 7902.
- QUALIFICATIONS VARY BY DEPARTMENT A terminal degree or equivalent experience in the field of specialty is preferred.
- 2-3 years of teaching experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives, preferably in a College, University, or school setting.
- Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues; Proven success creating inclusive classrooms;
Hourly Rate
