Job description
Wilmington College (OH) seeks in-person adjunct instructors to teach Writing for the Fall 2026 semester. The English Program is looking to fill teaching positions in our first-year writing program, with available sections of EN 100: Writing I and EN 101: Writing II. (There are several sections that need to be filled so suitable candidates could potentially teach multiple.) The semester begins August 24th, 2026.
Course Description (EN 100)
This course introduces students to the expectations of college-level reading and expository writing. Classroom instruction emphasizes the conventions of effective writing.
Course Description (EN 101) This course extends students’ understanding of the expectations of college-level expository writing. It emphasizes critical analysis, argument, and research.
M.A. in literature, rhetoric/composition, or a related field required. Experience teaching similar courses is highly desirable.
