Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs Perform preventive, restorative, and limited surgical procedures including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, pulp therapy, and extractions Diagnose and treat oral health conditions while developing individualized treatment plans Educate patients and caregivers on oral hygiene, prevention, and overall oral health Utilize behavior management techniques appropriate for pediatric patients Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Participate in quality improvement and community outreach efforts as applicable
Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school Completion of an ADA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry Active or eligible for Oregon dental licensure Active Nitrous Permit Current DEA license and CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain) Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based pediatric care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff Passion for serving children and families in a community-focused, public health–oriented environment
