  • Summary: The Lower School Teacher will plan, organize, and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional programs to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaboration and Communication Work collaboratively with grade-level colleagues, specialists, and school staff to support student learning and development. Actively participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents about student progress, achievements, and areas for growth. Support of Enrollment Management Actively engage in the school’s enrollment management efforts by participating in tours, open houses, and other admissions events. Showcase the lower school program’s curriculum, classroom environment, and unique benefits to prospective families. Cultivate positive relationships with current families to promote retention and word-of-mouth referrals. Collaborate with the admissions team to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for prospective students and families. Professional Responsibilities Stay current with best practices in education, including teaching strategies, curriculum standards, and relevant research. Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, sporting events, and school-wide initiatives.
