Job description

  • The School of Pharmacy - Boston seeks adjunct faculty to deliver high quality education and evaluation for the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching and precepting the Advanced Practice Management Laboratory courses to Doctor of Pharmacy students. Subject matters may include practical aspects of pharmacy practice in community, institutional and physical assessment labs.
  • Delivers instruction in a practice management laboratory setting and provides experiential instruction in the Practice Management Laboratory courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.
  • Adjunct Faculty for the Advanced Practice Management Lab should be available to commit to a consistent schedule of, at minimum, one lab session block (approximately 4 hours) per week. Scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

Required

  • Candidates must be Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in pharmacy practice as relevant to the needs of the lab (sterile product compounding and other hospital pharmacy function)
  • Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
  • Evidence of teaching excellence
