Job description

  • St. Mary Delaware School Aftercare Aide Catholic Preferred but Not Required Part-Time | Monday–Friday | 2:45–6:15 PM St. Mary School is seeking a dependable, warm, and energetic Aftercare Aide to join our after-school care program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, brings a calm and positive presence, and is able to help provide a safe, structured, and joyful environment at the end of the school day. The Aftercare Aide supports students in preschool through middle school during after-school hours, helping with supervision, snack, play, homework time, transitions, and dismissal. Responsibilities include:
  • Supervising students in a safe, attentive, and caring manner
  • Helping maintain a calm, orderly, and welcoming aftercare environment
  • Assisting with snack, indoor and outdoor play, activities, and homework time
  • Supporting smooth transitions and student dismissal
  • Communicating respectfully and professionally with students, parents, and staff
  • Helping clean and reset spaces used during aftercare
  • Following all school policies and safety procedures
